Late C17 and C18 painted brick facade with old tiled roof. 2 storeys,
cellar and gabled dormers. 5 windows, upper floor early C19 casements
and western, C19 square bay. Ground floor has off centre door and small,
early C19, former shop window at eastern side with cornice, pilasters,
and modern glazing. 2 additional sash Windows and door to rear passage.
Inside, some exposed ceiling beams, wooden fireplace alcoves and 2 smaller
alcoves. Larger angled corner fireplace. At rear, 1 storey, earlier
section with large beams. Roof now reslated. Eastern side has tile hung
upper storey. Formerly the Black Horse Public House.

Nos 5 to 35 (odd), and 45 to 65 (odd) Old Timbers and Friday Cottage and
No 73 form a group in association with Nos 4 and 6, No 10, Nos 14, 14A
and 16, Nos 54 and 56, The Anchor Hotel and Baltic Cottage opposite with
Baltic House Thameside.
