Early C19 facade but some late timber framing visible in side passage.
Bracketed eaves and hipped slate roof. Street elevation of painted brick.
3 storeys, 2 sash windows with glazing bars. Ground floor has later canted
shop window and door with semi-circular fanlight. Carriageway entrance
under eastern end.

The raised pavement and wall forms part of a group with Nos 5 to 19 (odd)
the South Oxfordshire Technical College Old School and Main Buildings,
Nos 43 to 49 (odd) and the wall and gate piers to former Paradise House.
Ancastle Cottage, Nos 2 to 36 (even) and the pavement surface in front
of Nos 2 to 36 (even) opposite. Ancastle Cottage also forms a group with
the entrance walls, piers and gates and the lower lodge of Friar Park.
