HISTORICAL NOTE: A research report on 9-11 Gravel Hill produced by the
Henley Historical and Archaeological Group in 2012 has brought to light new
information on this part of the range, demonstrating an earlier date than was
stated in the original List entry (then thought to date from the C17-C18 on the
basis of external inspection). Recent dendrochronological analysis of No. 13
has dated the roof structure to 1454. Inspection and recording of the
timber-framing at Nos. 9-11 has identified fabric which appears to date to the
early C15. Other parts of the range are understood to have retained
timber-framing, but these parts have not been inspected in detail.
