Later C19. With modern western extension which is not listed. Flamboyant
Gothic style. Red brick with tile hung 1st floor. Tiled roof with dragon
finial. Eastern turret with pyramidal roof over balcony. 2 storeys,
2 windows and central, Tudor arched, stone doorway. Western side has
bay of 5 lights with stone mullions and transoms, eastern side has 2-light
window. 1st floor, western side window with modern glazing in moulded
frame, eastern side has small, rectangular window below balcony. Detailing
includes arms and motto above doorway and heraldic animals over window
below turret.

The buildings of the Friar Park estate form a group. In adittion, the
lower lodge, entrance walls, gates and piers form a group with Ancastle
Cottage opposite.
