No 23. Part of same structure as No 21 (q.v.). Early C18. Red and grey
brick with shaped, bracketed, eaves cornice. Old tiled roof with 2 flat
topped dormers. 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows, cased sashes. Altered
C19 shop front ground floor, some vertical glazing bars remain.
Nos 27 and 29 consists of 2 buildings the western one of which forms
the other half, structurally of the present No 3l (q.v.) Early C19 facade,
eastern bay of 3 storeys rendered facade and slate hung side wall, slate
hipped roof. 1 window, top floor casement, 1st floor sash with glazing
bars and architrave surround. Western bay, red brick with grey brick
panels, hipped slate roof 1 window. Early C19 sashes with glazing bars.
Altered C19 shop front extends width of ground floor. Grade II for group
value.

Nos 5 to 31 (odd) and the Town Hall, form part of a group associated with
No 10, Nos 20 to 36 (even) including the barn at the rear of Nos 32 to
34 (even) on the opposite side of the Market Place.
