C17/C18. Timber framing visible in side wall but street facade of silver
grey and red bricks on a flint base. Arches of red rubbed bricks. Tiled
roof. 2 storeys, 3 windows, those of 1st floor C18 sashes. Ground floor
windows and those of side wall have mullions and transoms, those of side
wall with top lights leaded. Original iron casements with fittings on
some of the bottom ones. Large archway to stone flagged courtyard from
New Street.
Nos 84 to 88 (even) form a group with Nos 37 to 43 (odd), White Cottage,
the Malthouse, Nos 51 to 55 (odd) and No 29 Thameside. No 88 also forms
part of a second group with Nos 25 to 29 (odd) Thameside, the stone flagged
surface to the courtyard behind No 88 and with No 1 Wharf Lane.
