GV II

Two cottages, now house. Early C18. Limestone rubble with some brick
dressings; thatched roof with brick stacks. 2-unit plan with lower single
unit to right and C20 extension to left. One storey plus attics. 3-window
front with plank door to right of centre flanked by renewed and enlarged
casements; two 2-light dormers over. Door has brick segmental arch and
quoins. Brick gable stacks. Single unit, probably earlier, has C18 2-light
casement with board shutters and brick dressings; 2-light dormer over. Roof
half-hipped to right. Former doorway built-up. Interior: Single unit has
chamfered and stopped beam and timber-framed gable to left with queen struts
and wattle and daub infill. Included for group value. Blenheim Lane shown on
O.S. sheet as Blenheim Road.
