14/85 Fletcher Farmhouse, Barn
approx 15 metres north-east of
Fletcher Farmhouse.

Barn. 1638 and C18. Coursed limestone rubble and weatherboarded timber-
framing; old plain-tile roof. 3 bays with deep central porch and opposed
full-height doors. Half-height stonework to rear wall but front wall built up
to eaves and porch added in C18. Blocked single slits in end walls and owl-
hole in left gable. Weatherboarding to porch gable an top of rear wall. Roof
half-hipped to right. Interior: Two trusses with slightly curved under-
principals, curved struts and 2 rows of clasped purlins. "R1638 S" carved
on tie-beam.
