Large house. Late C18, extended early C19 and subsequently. Noted as having been
built for Edward Bee. Rendered limestone rubble with ashlar dressings;
Welsh-slate roof with rendered gable stacks. L-plan, extended. Late Georgian
style. 2 storeys. 8-window front, with storey band, cornice and plain parapet,
has entrance, to right of centre, with fanlight and stone canopy on simplified
classical columns; 12-pane sashes, full length at ground floor, with slightly
narrower window above the door. The roof, with gable parapets, rises above the
original 6-bay front, to right. The 2 bays to left were added in early C20. The
rear wing, to left of the original front, was further extended c.1830 and the
angle infilled. The rubble walls are unrendered and there are further sashes
arranged irregularly. Interior: Early C19 stair with wreathed mahogany handrail.
