5/86 Ornamental wellhead approx.
50m. to NW of Shotover Park

GV II

Wellhead. C18. Marble and wrought iron. The wellhead is in the form of a capital
with pairs of cherubs' faces peering through rich foliage; below the square
abacus is a band of cable ornament. The arched iron overthrow is richly
ornamented with scrolls and tendrils and supports a bronze bucket on a chain.
Probably Italian.
