Stables, now classrooms. Mid C18. Coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar
dressings; Welsh-slate roof. L-plan. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 8-window front has
plain bands, linked to keyblocks above openings, and a central triangular
pediment containing a moulded surround for the clock face. Round-arched
doorways, with architraves, imposts and keyblocks, to 3rd and 6th bays, and
double eliptical-arched carriage entrances to extreme right and left, now
blocked. Window openings at ground and first floors have C20 casements and some
are partly blocked. Hipped roof with ogee-roofed hexagonal cupola. 5-window rear
has central round-headed opening with plain architrave flanked by
segmental-arched windows at ground and first floors. Interior not inspected. The
stables of the former manor house.
