6/120 Old Park Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C16/early C17, remodelled and extended C18. Limestone rubble
with some ashlar dressings; plain-tile roof with brick ridge stack. 2-unit
lobby-entry plan extended to L-plan. 2 storeys plus attics. Present front is
irregular with central door in C20 porch, lower rubble range projecting to
right, gable end of rear range to left with some 12-pane sashes, and a central
gabled roof dormer (possibly inserted in C20). Left return wall is rear of
original range and now has sashes, a small blocked first-floor window in line
with the central stack, and 2 roof dormers. Right gable wall and rear of front
range have 3-light leaded casements, and a lean-to roof partly obscures a
wood-framed cross window. Interior: Large central stack has fine 3-centre arched
moulded-stone fireplace, plus a large open fireplace with cambered bressumer and
a smoking recess with access from former lobby.
