Listing Text

6/225 Waterstock House, wall and


Wall and gate. C18. Limestone rubble and brick. Approx. 75m. long and 4m. high,
returning for approximately 5m. at the north end. The upper part and the whole
of the inner face of the wall are in brick. 2 large stepped stone buttresses in
the long section and, near the return, a C18 wrought-iron gate with flanking
panels ornamented with scroll work and an elaborate overthrow. Probably the
remnant of a large walled garden.
