5/12 Spenser's Cottage

GV II

Small house. Early C18. Coursed limestone rubble; thatched roof with brick gable
stack. 2-unit. plan with subsidiary wing. 2 storeys. 2-window front has door to
left of centre between 2-light casements; smaller casements at first floor and
further casement to tiled single-storey range to left. All windows have C20
leaded lights. Roof has stack to left and half hip to right. Lateral stack at
rear. Interior: Open fireplace with bressumers and flanking winder stair;
chamfered and stopped beams; clasped-purlin roof.
