Farmhouse. C17 and early/mid C18. Brick with some limestone rubble and timber
framing; plain-tile roof with brick stacks. Main range plus 2 adjoining rear
wings. 2 storeys plus attics and one storey plus attics. 4-window C18 range to
left of front is in brick on a rubble plinth with a storey band and has tall
first-floor windows with renewed casements; ground floor with entrance is partly
obscured by C20 single-storey extension. Roof has flanking stacks and a hipped
roof dormer. Lower C17 range to right has C18 brick casing and three casements
at ground floor of 2 and 3 lights with brick segmental arches and 2 gabled
dormers. Flanking stacks. Rear wings are partly timber framed with rubble and
brick infill and have half-hipped roofs. Interior: C18 range has chamfered beams
and a moulded plank-and-vee door; older range has exposed framing and the roof
has straight windbraces.
