5/102 West wall of churchyard of
Church of St. Mary


Wall. Probably C18. Limestone rubble. Wall is about 1.5m. high and has a rough
flat coping. It contains C19/C20 iron gates opposite the west tower of the
Church of St. Mary (q.v.) and at its southern end. The wall forms an important
element in the relationship of the Church with the Great House (q.v.). Included
for group value.
