9/156 Cross Farmhouse

Farmhouse, now house. Probably C15 with C16, C17 and C20 alterations. Red brick
to ground floor; timber-framing to first floor with red brick infill and
rendered panels; plain tile roof; brick stacks. Double-ended hall house plan
with later additions. 2 storeys and attic; 7-window range. Studded and ribbed
door to right of centre with moulded wood surround. Irregular fenestration of
wooden mullioned leaded windows. Queen post cross-gabled to left with mullioned
window to attic. Probably C20 cross gable to right. Interior: Double height hall
with queen post roof with wind braces. Subsidiary barn to right.
