Farmhouse, now house. C16, possibly with earlier origins: remodelled in C18.
Originally timber-framed. Roughcast above flint rubble with C18 brick quoins,
dressings and bands: chalk and flint rubble to rear. Gabled old tile roof; brick
ridge stack. 2-unit lobby-entry plan with C18 rear outshut. 2 storeys; 3-window
range. C19 four-panelled door set in heavy pegged frame: C20 porch. Irregular
fenestration of flat brick arches over C20 casements, except C18 three-light
iron casement above C19 horizontal sliding sash to right. Interior: C16 square
timber framing of heavy scantling, especially on rear first-floor wall: jowled
posts to tie beams; roof not inspected. Chamfered and stopped beams, chamfered
bressumer over open fireplace. C18 ribbed doors. Wing to right of one storey and
attic, one-bay range: originally timber-framed: front wall of C18 chequer brick
over flint rubble; gabled old tile roof. Interior: 3 raised crucks with
wind-braced purlins survive of 2-bay hall (possibly late medieval).
