5/54 Bank Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Date 1758 inscribed on right quoin. Front of Flemish bond brick with
flared headers on flint base. Gabled old tile roof; brick gable-end external
stack to right, inserted left stack. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 2-window
range. Segmental arches over C20 door and casements: flat arches over C20
first-floor casements. 2-light leaded casement in left gable wall. To rear is
brick stair-turret, with 2-light leaded casement, flanked by C18 two-storey,
2-window range wings of colourwashed brick with gabled old tile roof and
segmental arches over openings. C20 extensions to left of front. Interior:
timber-framed partition wall with C17 brick infill, C18 ribbed doors. Mid C18
dog-leg stairs with turned balusters on closed string.
