Stables. Late C17, extended in mid/late C18. Knapped flint with brick quoins and
dressings: gabled old tile roof. One-storey and attic; 4-window range. Brick
pointed chamfered central doorway. Brick hood moulds and chamfered timber
lintels over early C20 two-light latticed windows with chamfered brick jambs:
mid C19 three-bay cartshed entry to left, with cast-iron columns supporting
heavy timber lintel. Similar first-floor windows set in 4 symmetrical gables.
Mid/late C18 rear outshut has brick stack and plank loft door in 2-storey gabled
porch. Interior: 7-bay collar-truss roof with side struts and butt purlins. It
has been suggested that the loft was used to store wool.
