House. Late medieval, remodelled mid/late C19. Originally timber-framed,
cruck-framed to rear. Roughcast; gabled old tile roof; brick ridge stack. Hall
house, now L-plan with front left wing. 2 storeys; 2-bay range. C20 door and
windows to left gable wing. C20 door to right of late medieval one-storey and
attic rear range. Interior: double-chamfered raised cruck and two ogee-stopped
beams of inserted C17 floor in rear wing. First floor not inspected but likely
to be of interest. Formerly The Black Lion public house.
