6/171 Newnhamhill House
Two cottages, now house. Probably early C18 with recasing of 1797 (dated bricks to right return and rear). Unknapped flint with brick dressings; old plain-tile roof; brick end sticks. Single storey and it tic; 4-window range. Plank doors to left and right of centre. 3-light casements except 2-light casement to right of centre. 4-gabled dormers. Queen-post roof truss to left return. Chamfered spine beams with ogee end stops to ground floor. Cross-wing to right timber framing with herringbone brick infill; old plain-tile half-hipped roof; brick ridge stack. Irregular fenestration of diamond-pane leaded Casements. Arched collar-truss roof with wind bracing. Some probably late C17 squire panelling. The cross-wing was the first floor and roof of The Bull Public House at Tottenham of probably mid C17. It was re-erected here c. 1936.
