7/17 The Old Rectory

Shown on O.S. map as The Rectory.
Rectory, now house. Early C19 with C20 alterations to rear. Stucco on brick;
Welsh slate hipped roof; rendered ridge stack to left of centre. 2-storey,
3-window range. 4-panel part-glazed door to centre with square porch with round
moulded Bath stone archway with central keystone and bracketed stone cornice.
12-pane sashes to all openings. Left return: 2-storey, 2-window range. Square
Bath stone bay to right with tripartite sash to front and bracketted cornice.
Tripartite sash to left, 12-pane sashes to first floor. Most ground-floor rooms
have moulded plaster coving (egg and dart moulding to ground floor rear left).
Most windows have original internal shutters. Straight flight staircase.
