BERRICK SALOME ROKE
SU6293
10/25 Roke Farmhouse

- II

Farmhouse, now house. C17, altered C20. Rendered timber framing, partly rebuilt
in brick; clunch rubble; old plain-tile roof with brick ridge stack. L-plan. One
storey plus attics. Front has entrance in angle with projecting wing to right.
2-window front walls of both ranges have been rebuilt but wing has a dormer with
moulded barge boards and the gable wall is probably timber framed. Lower rubble
bay to left of main range has a 2-light casement and a 3-light gabled dormer,
and its end gable contains a brick 2-row dovecote and a timber framed gable
below a half hip. Rear wall of main range is probably timber framed. Both ranges
have ridge stacks. Interior not inspected.
