GV II
House, now shop and flat. C15/C16, refronted mid C20. Timber framing with brick
front and limestone ashlar chimney projection; old plain-tile roof with brick
stacks. One-bay plan with rear wing. One storey plus attics. Gabled front has
shop front with casement above. Central clustered stack. Rear wing has exposed
framing, to left, with large panels and heavy curved braces. Chimney projection
on rear gable wall has many offsets, and a stone lozenge datestone, set within a
square chamfered-brick recessed panel, is inscribed "L/NE/1692/TL", probably the
date the stack was added. Interior not inspected. May have been linked to No.30
(q.v.).
