Farmhouse, now house. Probably C16, remodelled late C18 and extended mid C19. Timber framing with brick and rendered infill; rendered brick; old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. Two-unit plan with rear wing, extended. Two storeys plus attic. Three bays to left of five-window front are earlier and have doorway, to left of centre, in C19 stone porch with Egyptian columns; flanking windows have 16-pane sashes, cornices and panelled shutters; at first floor are three 12-pane sashes. Two later bays to right plus gable outshut have four-pane sashes with stone sills on moulded corbels. Roughcast, lined with broad masonry joints, extends over full facade and roof is continuous, with moulded eaves brackets, crested ridge tiles, one roof dormer in earlier section, and stacks to right gable and to right of entrance. Left gable wall and rear have exposed heavy framing with curved braces. Tall timber-framed stair tower rises at rear of earlier range, and low timber-framed wing returns to left of it. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest.
