Row of 9 cottages, now 8. Late C16/C17, extended late C18/early C19. Timber
framing with brick infill, and partly rendered clunch rubble with brick
dressings; thatch and old plain-tile roofs. Single-unit plans with rear wings. 2
storeys. No.16 (formerly 2 cottages) to extreme left, is timber framed, and has
a 2-unit, 3-window front with 2 plant; doors and 3 casements, at ground floor,
and 3 old 3-light casements, at first floor, with some leaded lights. The rest
of the fronts are narrower and most have segmental-arched doors and casements.
Parallel rear wings have hipped roofs. Interior not inspected. Row may have been
converted from a maltings.
