Baldon House

GV II

Dovecote. Mid/late C18. Brick on a limestone rubble plinth with some flared
headers; old plain-tile roof. Rectangular plan. Front has a segmental-arched
entrance and projecting eaves courses. End walls have small gable openings. Roof
has a central tiled glover with shaped spandrels. Interior: all walls lined with
nesting boxes. Parts survive of a timber framework, in front of boxes, formerly
providing perches and possibly access to boxes.
