10/24 Parsonage Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. C17, remodelled and extended late C19. Timber framing with brick
infill and some roughcast; brick; old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. 2-unit
plan, extended. 2 storeys plus attics. Symmetrical roughcast 3-window front,
with moulded wooden cornice, has a central glazed doorway, in an elaborate C19
timber-framed open porch, flanked by tripartite sashes; at first floor double
sashes flank a 12-pane sash. Side walls are timber framed with, to left, a
tile-hung gable and, to right, a roughcast gable with a 3-light casement above 2
sashes and several panels of patterned brickwork. C19 rear wing has a
double-span roof. Interior not inspected.
