Farmhouse, now 2 dwellings. Probably late C17, extended mid C18. Limestone
rubble and some timber framing with brick infill; old plain-tile roof with stone
and brick stacks. 2-unit plan, extended to 3 units, then to L-plan. One storey
plus attic. 2-window front has, to left, the gable end of the earlier range with
3-light small-pane casements under wooden lintels. Immediately to right is a
tiled stone porch sheltering a heavy plank door above which a datestone is
inscribed 1744; to right again is a 3-light segmental-arched casement below a
half dormer in a small brick gable. Roof has a large stone and brick stack on
the right gable, an inserted lateral stack to left, a ridge stack on the earlier
range and a large brick chimney projection on the gable wall of the added
timber-framed rear unit. There is a continuous brick outshut to right of the
rear wing. Interior not inspected.
