House. C16/early C17. Timber framing with plastered infill; thatch roof with
brick ridge stack. 2-unit lobby-entry plan. One storey plus attic and 2 storeys
plus attics. 2 bays to left of front are probably slightly earlier and have, at
ground floor, casements of 2 and 3 lights, at first floor a 2-light casement,
and a high inset attic dormer; remainder of front includes, to left, a plank
door, with tiny windows above and to right, plus a rectangular bay window of
5-lights with a richly-moulded plaster cornice and canopy, and above it, a
3-light dormer. Left gable wall has heavy framing and clasped purlins. Right
gable wall incorporates earlier gable in framing. Interior not inspected.
