Pair of cottages. Mid C18. Brick in Flemish bond with some flared headers;
timber framing with brick infill; plain old-tile roof with brick stack. 2-unit
plans. One storey plus attic. 2-window cottage fronts, with brick dentil eaves
course and segmental arches, each have three 2-light casements, the central
windows replacing former doorways. Cottages have 2 gabled dormers each and share
a central stack. Left gable wall was fully timber framed and retains principal
timbers; rebuilt right gable wall retains some timbers in gable. Interiors not
inspected. Part of the estate village built c.1760 for the 1st Earl Harcourt.
