Walled garden. Built 1761 for Reverend James Newton, probably partly rebuilt
C19. Brick in Flemish and garden-wall bonds. Rectangular plan. Walls to south
and west are of crinkle-crankle form; north and east walls are straight and may
be later.
(Nuneham Park is included in the HBMC County Register of Gardens at Grade I;
V.C.H.: Oxfordshire, Vol. V; M.Batey, "Nuneham Courtenay, an Oxfordshire 18th
century deserted villiage". Oxoniensia 1968, Vol. 33, p.108).
