House. Late C18 and early C19. Brick in Flemish bond; limestone rubble with
brick dressings; Welsh-slate roof with brick stacks. Central-stair plan. 2
storeys. The earlier 2 bays to right of the 3-window front have a first-floor
sill band and dentil eaves course. To right is a large tripartite sash and to
left a round-arched doorway with double-leaf panelled door and a delicate
Adam-style fanlight. Above the doorway is a 9-pane sash and to right a 12-pane
sash cutting through the cill band. All have gauged arches. The added bay to
left has 12-pane sashes. The shallow-pitched roof has a gable stack to right.
Sides and rear are rubble. C20 extension to rear. Interior: Stair hall has a
sweeping open-well stair; dentil cornice and 6-leaf panelled shutters in drawing
room.
