8/175 The Crown Public House

Public House. Early C18. Limestone rubble with some squared and some brick
dressings; old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys plus
basement. Irregular 3-window front has a doorway between 4-pane-wide sashes with
a smaller sash to extreme right, all with segmental arches and brick quoins; at
first floor are casements of 3, one and 3 lights; left bay has a basement
window. Roof has stacks to right of centre and to left gable. Small C20
extension to right and to rear. Interior not inspected.
