GV II

House. Late C16/early C17, re-modelled C18. Timber framing with brick infill and
colourwashed brick; thatch roof with brick ridge stacks. 3-unit plan. One storey
plus attic. Irregular brick front, facing garden, has a plank door to right of
centre and three 3-light casements, all with segmental arches; 3-light dormers
to left and centre. Roof has linked stacks to left of centre. Left gable wall
and part of rear wall retain timber-framing. Further 3-light dormer at rear.
Single-storey brick and tiled C20 extension runs towards road. Interior: large
internal stack has open fireplace; stop-chamfered beams; clasped-purl in roof
with straight wind braces.
