TOOT BALDON BALDON ROW
SP5600 (South side)
House. Early C18. Limestone rubble with brick dressings; old plain-tile roof
with brick gable stacks. 2-unit plan with rear outshut. 2 storeys plus attic.
4-window front, facing garden, has segmental -arched first floor casements of 2,
2, 2,ansd 3 lights with linked 5-course quoins; ground floor has the remains of
a similar arrangement but has been altered. Hipped 2-light roof dormers. Later
single-storey range to right. Rear has a catslide roof over outshut. Interior:
some very heavy chamfered beams; 4-bay roof with 2 rows of butt purlins.
