House. Probably aid C16, C17 chimneystack and alterations, C19 additions to
front and to left, C20 alterations, Large timber-framing with brick infill; old
plain-tile roof; brick ridge stack to right of centre, C20 end stack to left.
Single storey and attic; 4-bay range at right-angles to street. C20 plank doors
to left of centre and to end of cross-wing to right. Irregular fenestration of
mostly C20 casements to ground floor. Gabled dormer to right. Right return: one
blade of base cruck to right. Interior: winder staircase; 4 pairs full crucks
visible to interior. Dining room to right has chamfered spine beam and joists
having ogee end stops. Chamfered bressumer with ogee end stops to fireplace.
Entrance hall
to centre has stone open fireplace with areas of brick and some fossils.
