Potter's Farmhouse
GV II
Farmhouse, now house. Mid C17, C18 brick front. Painted flint base; painted
brick; old plain-tile roof; brick lateral stacks to rear. 3-unit plan. 2-storey,
4-window range. C20 six-panel door with overlight and flat hood on brackets to
left of centre. 16-pane unhorned sashes with segmental brick heads to all
openings. Moulded brick band between ground and first floor. Left return: brick
to ground floor; large timber-framing with brick infill to first floor and
attic. Two 16-pane horned sashes to ground floor. C20 round-topped window to
first floor centre. 16-pane unhorned sash to attic gable-end. C20 straight
flight staircase from ground to first floor. Wood winder staircase from first
floor to attic. Double Queen-post roof construction. Extensive beaming to
interior. Spine beams to ground and first floor have ogee end stops.
