17/143 Nos.1 and 2 and attached low


House, now 2 dwellings. C17 with late C17 cross-wing to right. Knapped flint
base; red brick; old plain-tile roof; brick ridge stack to centre. Single storey
and attic; 4-window range with 2-storey cross-wing to right, at right-angles to
street. C20 doors to left and right of centre. Irregular fenestration of mainly
C20 casements. Flat brick band between ground and first floor to cross-wing
right. 4-gabled dormers with casements. Rear: large timber-framing with
angle-bracing to left; rendered infill; flint panelled base to right; red brick
to right. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest. Attached
timber-framed low barn to left.
