Group of 4 chest tombs approx.
5m. S and W of Church of St.
Leonard

Group of 4 chest tombs. C18. Stone. Rectangular. Chest tomb approx. 4m. south of
tower: probably early C18. Cyma recta moulded base. 2 fielded panels to each
side. Single fielded panels to ends. Baluster moulding to corners. Inscribed
panel to west end with illegible, probably C19, inscription. Moulded top. Chest
tomb to Francis Dandridge approx. 6m. south of church, and chest tomb approx.
3m. west of tower. Cyma recta moulded base. 3 fielded panels to each side, that
to centre wider. Fielded panel to each end, except one end of Dandridge chest
tomb has inscribed panel, mostly illegible with swagged surround and winged head
to top. Chest tomb approx. 7m. south of tower: mid C18. 2 fielded panels to
sides. Single panels to ends. Form group round south-west corner of church.
