No.1 (The Red Lion Public


Public house. Late C17, with later alterations. Red brick with random flared
headers in Flemish bond; C20 plain-tile roof, hipped to left; brick end stack to
right, ridge stack to left, and to right of centre. 2-storey, 4-window range.
Sash door to left of centre. C20 metal 3-light casements to ground floor, except
C19 two-light casement to left. Flat brick band between ground and first floors,
except to left. C19 three-light casements to first floor, blind panel to first
floor left. Interior: chamfered beams to ground floor; open fireplace to ground
floor right.
