8/127 Brook House


House. C16, with C18 raising, C20 cross-wing to left. Cruck framed. Painted
uncoursed stone rubble with some areas of brick to ground floor; red brick to
first floor; old plain-tile roof; brick ridge stack to left; ridge stack to
right end with diagonally-set flues. 2-storey, 2-window range. C20 plain door to
centre. 3-light wood casement to left of centre. 3-light wood casement to first
floor left. 2-light wood casement to right. Interior: C20 straight-flight
staircase to rear. Base cruck and truss to centre. Open fireplaces to ground
floor. C20 cross-wing is not of special architectural interest.
