House, probably former farmhouse. Probably late C16. Painted brick to centre;
uncoursed limstone rubble to right; render, probably on timber framing, to left;
old plain-tile roof; brick end stack to left; brick ridge stack, with 3
diagonally set flues, to right of centre. Double-ended hall house. 2 storeys and
attic; 6-window range. 2-window centre range with cross-wings. C20 open timber
framed porch to right of centre with plank door. Irregular fenestration of
mostly 2-light wood casements. Cross-gables to left and right. Areas of timber
framing to rear and cross wings. C17 winder staircase from ground floor to attic
to rear of left cross-wing. Early C20 staircase to right cross-wing. Open
fireplace to ground floor and first floor centre. Extensive timber framing to
interior. Double queen post roof with windbracing.
