House, now offices. Early C19 front on earlier building. Lined render, probably
on brick; old plain-tile roof, gambrelled to rear; brick end stacks and ridge
stack to right of centre. 3-storey, 3-window range to left with 2-storey,
single-window range of same height to right. 4-panel door with decorative
fanlight and square porch on Doric columns with triglyph frieze to centre of
left range. Pilaster strips to ends of ranges with incised decoration. 12-pane
unhorned sashes with rendered architave surrounds to all openings except 9-pane
unhorned sashes with rendered architrave surrounds to second floor of left
range. Moulded cornice and plain parapet to eaves. Interior not inspected but
likely to be of interest. Attached wing to left, now offices, probably late C18.
Flint with brick dressings to plinth; coursed squared limestone with brick
dressings; old plain-tile roof; brick end stack to left. Single storey and
attic; 2-window range. 4-panel door with segmental brick head to left. 9-pane
horned sashes with segmental brick heads to centre and right. Flat roofed dormer
with 6-pane horned sash to right. House probably refronted by Mayor Thomas
Greenwood approx. 1820.
