School c.1877 by W. Stevenson of Nottingham, laboratory added 1899. Red brick; old plain-tile complex roof; paired brick ridge stacks to centre. Central school house with single-storey classroom wings to left and right. Arts and Crafts Gothic style. Three-storey, five-window block to centre with single-storey wings. Panelled doors to recessed porches with two-centred arches to left and right of main block. Complex fenestration, mostly of wood mullion and transom windows. Wood cross windows to classroom wings. Interior not inspected. Laboratory pavilion to left; red brick; old plain-tile hipped roof. Single-storey two-window range.
