c.1840 coursed rubble and brick house, now painted. 3-storey with low pitched
slate eaves roof with bracketted eaves and decorated soffit. End wall stacks.
Brick angles and window sides. 3-window range, centre openings blank, glazing
bar sash windows to sides. Splayed stone lintels. Rubble stone end walls.
Nos 48 to 54 form an important group at the entry to Faringdon from the east.
