3/29 Red House Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Early C18: mid C18 rear range. Uncoursed limestone rubble with brick
dressings; gabled C20 tile roof; brick symmetrical end stacks. 2-unit central
staircase plan. 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Timber lintel over plank
door with overlight. Segmental arches of alternating red and flared brick over
C20 three-light casements: similar flat brick arches over 2-light first-floor
casements with brick aprons. Late C18 stone outshut to left. Mid C18 rear range,
making double-depth plan: Flemish bond brick; gabled C20 tile roof; brick end
stacks. 2-storeys; 3-window range. C19 timber lintels over late C19
four-panelled door and late C19/C20 casements: raised storey band. Interior not
inspected but likely to be of interest.
