Circa 1830s in Tudor Gothic style, probably designed by William Atkinson for Lord
Barrington of Beckett Hall for which it served as a gate-lodge. Built of squared and
coursed rubble stone and stone dressings with a gabled stone tiled roof. 1 storey and
attic. Roadside facade of 3 bays, that to the S is a gabled projection with a
polygonal bay window with mullioned lights and diamond glazing. The remaining 2 bays
have gabled stone tiled and tile-hung dormers and 2 light mullions to the ground floor
all with diamond glazing. The gable ends have carved kneelers and Tudor finials.
1 storey gatekeeper's porch attached to the S facing the drive with similar features.
