Canal Bridge
SU 28 NW 4/90


Road bridge over disused canal. C1805. Ironstone rubble; red brick dressings and
parapet walls with stone copings. Segmental plan parapet walls terminating in piers
projecting away from road. Elliptical arch quoined in brick; projecting band of
two courses of bricks at base of parapets walls. A survival of the Wiltshire and
Berkshire Canal, closed 1914.
